To be able to use basic radio and communication systems relevant to your role.
Escalate any issues/defects to Team Leader.
Provide support during any Trust emergencies, incidents or events where necessary supporting the contingency plans of the Trust.
To maintain at all times a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation and to assist in the maintenance of good hygiene practices within the department.
To observe confidentiality of patients and employing Trust's business at all times.
Maintain good relations with colleagues and other staff throughout locality.
Assist non clinically on the ward in whatever capacity is necessary to ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity.
Act on own initiative and accept responsibility to ensure that the quality of work meets required quality and performance standards; often working without immediate supervision, must be able to prioritise own work load; and bring to management attention any issues which are adversely affecting service quality and performance.
Communicate and liaise effectively with Work Colleagues, Managers and with Clinical Teams accordance with Trust values.
To provide cover, when there is an urgent service need i.e. due to sickness, and with adequate training, to the ED.
