About the Role

Base Location:Cardiff, Reading or Perth - this is a hybrid role working a minimum two days a week at the office at one of the advertised locations.

Salary:£47,600 - £71,600 pro rata + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern:9 Month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available

What is the Role?

As the Communications and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for setting and delivering the internal communications and engagement strategy across Business Energy, creating initiatives to support our teams through change and enabling learning and development activity across the business. You will ensure all stakeholder needs are known, people are well informed, with solutions delivered at the right time and through the most appropriate channels.

As part of the role, you will:

- Develop and execute long-term strategic communication and engagement plans, aligned with the company's mission and vision.

- Create regular, interactive engagement opportunities to ensure effective two-way communication across the organisation.

- Define and instil the desired organisational culture, focusing on values, behaviours, and characteristics that align with our strategic goals.

- Develop and apply metrics for measuring engagement and awareness, refining approach based on feedback and data.

- Collaborate with Learning & Development to promote a customer-centric culture and support continuous professional growth.

- Lead your team to deliver, providing the necessary coaching and development to staff to be able to respond to planned demand accurately and effectively.

What do I need?

­­To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Solid experience in leading comprehensive communication and engagement initiatives within complex, matrix-managed organisations.

- A strategic approach that combines a strong knowledge base with creative insights, focused on both internal and external factors to shape impactful strategies.

- Well-honed skills in using diverse communication platforms effectively to reach and engage a varied audience.

- Expertise in market research, strategic planning, and advising on communication strategies aimed at nurturing a dynamic workplace environment.

- Excellent people skills, you will be interacting with and inspiring colleagues across teams and third parties to ensure results are delivered.
