The apprentice cohort will come together regularly for additional key skill development and team building activities such as first aid training and personal financial guidance.

Communications Apprenticeship

We are looking for an apprentice to support our busy communications team. The role will support both the internal and external communications functions to ensure that key messages are being communicated to our colleagues and to our customers, stakeholders and relative press outlets.

Within this role we would be asking you to support in developing high quality content, both written and visual. You will also be asked to build relationships with the wider business and external stakeholders.

Overall, the role will require you to support the communications team's administration tasks to a high-quality standard within agreed timescales.

Contracted hours for this role will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, mainly based at our Head Office, in Manchester City Centre, a short walk from Oxford Road station, with the potential for travel across the network. The role will commence 9 th September 2024.

Interviews will be scheduled on 3 rd and 10 th July 2024 and the role will commence 9 th September 2024. Starting salary is £16,500.

About you

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, responsible, and helpful team player with a passion for problem solving and delivering excellent customer service. You'll have good IT skills and an interest in new systems.

You'll need to be self-disciplined and committed to putting pride and effort into everything you do. You'll find yourself learning lots of new and interesting things, but you'll have the ability and mind set to deal with anything that comes your way. As you will be working with a variety of different colleagues, we are looking for someone with effective communication skills and a helpful team player with a passion for problem solving. Being able to spot problems and think creatively will benefit you in this position, a keen eye for detail is also a must.
