We’re always on the lookout for bright talent to come on board and help achieve our ambition to become the leading intercity operator in the North and Scotland.

We're going places
We’re ambitious - not just as a business, but as people too. It’s what unites us and our customers. At TransPennine Express, we’re raising the bar in rail travel, we’re putting our customers first and we’re helping build better infrastructure for the future of the regions we connect.
Our vision in a nutshell: we’re working to create a better connected network for everyone in the North and Scotland, for good.

People are at the heart of our business. We value you, for you. So embrace your true self. No matter if you’re talking to a colleague, a customer or your boss’s boss. We work together, we challenge each other. And we always respect each other. We want you to bring yourself to work every day.

With every decision, put yourself in the other person’s shoes and find moments to make people smile. From small gestures to big efforts. From colleagues to customers. If you’re giving someone good news, make it great. And if you’re dealing with an issue, you’re the first person to have the chance to make their day better. So take it.

We’re on a journey to create a better future, but we’ll only get there by trying to be better, every single day. We don’t want to follow the industry, we want to lead it, listening and adapting as our railway changes. So we don’t just settle for alright, we keep pushing for better.

‘We’ beats ‘me’. Every single time. So we always come together as a team to operate with transparency and honesty. With our customers, and with each other. We share opinions. We ask for help. We work with our partners. And we bring them into conversations as early as we can. When we work best as a team, it’s to add more brains, not barriers.
At TransPennine Express, our aim is to continue to build an inclusive culture and our values are central to this, especially being “be yourself” and “pull together”. Working together we can build a better future for our colleagues and customers. Our colleagues are from all walks of life with varied personal experiences and career journeys into rail.
TPE has almost 2,500 people across the business and partners in the North of England and into Scotland. The majority of these are in service delivery roles, with 1,680 employed by TPE itself.
This team represents a diverse range of people from different parts of the North of England and Scotland, different backgrounds, ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, and religions.
