Location: London, Coventry or Manchester Store Support Centre & Home. Colleagues go into the office and/or depot 1-2 days per week on average.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for providing finance leadership and business partnering across Logistics, including third-party logistics strategic partners. Your role will involve delivering high-quality insights, analysis, and constructive challenges to support decisions that enhance the bottom line, strengthen control, deliver value for money, and align with the Sainsbury's strategy. Building trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders and strategic partners, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and risk management processes, collaborate with procurement to ensure contract obligations are met, and drive financial and commercial performance through data-led decisions and strategic business cases. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to support the business in making decisions that improve financial performance and drive positive outcomes.

Who you are

You are a qualified accountant with a proven track record of driving data-led decisions and providing financial leadership to enhance business performance. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to challenge and collaborate with senior stakeholders demonstrate your capability to manage financial performance effectively. With a focus on delivering change, building strategic business cases, and fostering trusted relationships, you play a key role in supporting decisions that drive value, strengthen control, and contribute to the achievement of the company's strategic goals.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with demonstrable commercial finance business partnering experience, ideally within the FMCG, retail or logistics industry
• Demonstrable experience using financial and business data to inform decision-making and influence performance outcomes
• Proven ability to communicate financial information clearly, both verbally and in writing, including presenting insights to senior stakeholders and constructively challenging recommendations where appropriate
• Evidence of partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions to understand business drivers, manage expectations and influence commercial and financial performance
• Proven track record of prioritising competing demands and delivering change within a fast-paced and evolving business environment
