What you'll do

You will play a crucial role in business partnering with the leadership team to drive value creation and strengthen overall performance within the category. You will provide insightful analysis and commentary to stakeholders, supporting both day-to-day trading decisions and long-term Financial Planning & Analysis. Collaborating with senior stakeholders, you will lead a team of finance analysts, manage team resources effectively, and participate in strategic trading meetings.

You will build strategic business cases and support post implementation reviews as required, as well as support several ad hoc projects. Your ability to interpret management reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver timely and accurate analysis will be key to influencing business decisions and driving financial and commercial performance within the Electricals & Toys category.

Who you are

You are a professionally qualified accountant with a strong focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance through insightful analysis and strategic decision-making. With your proven experience in interpreting data, identifying opportunities, and effectively communicating with senior stakeholders, you play a crucial role in supporting the overall strategy of the Electricals & Toys category. Your ability to manage resources, prioritise workload, and deliver timely and accurate analysis showcases your self-motivation, adaptability, and commitment to driving positive change within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Essential Criteria
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Demonstrable commercial finance business partnering experience, ideally within FMCG/GM/Retail
  • Proven line management experience or evidence of developing, supporting and coaching others - this role has two direct reports
  • Proven experience of analysing and interpreting financial and operational data to identify opportunities, influence decision-making, and drive commercial performance
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate financial information clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to present insights to stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge
  • Evidence of effectively influencing, challenging and partnering with senior stakeholders to support the delivery and management of financial performance
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver change within a fast-paced environment
