This will require the roleholder to have extensive experience of working with, supporting and influencing C level stakeholders to help support innovation and ensure the medium and long term strategic goals of the organisation are achieved.

This role is suitable for agile working. This means we would consider a more flexible working arrangement, where your hours and work location are managed according to business, customer and personal needs. For this role, you would be based in our Hove office, but you could work in other Legal & General offices or at home, as necessary, provided this meets business needs.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Developing and aligning the coaching practice with the strategic direction of the organisation, managing deviations, and effectively communicating solutions and their justification to relevant stakeholders
  • Champion and embody the Lean-Agile core values and promote their usage across the organisation: acts as an Agile change agent both internally and externally
  • Takes end to end responsibility for the transformation of up to 2 agile portfolios, whilst establishing and maintaining fit for purpose governance to control and monitor the deliverables to the business in order to realise benefits. Leads project planning, scheduling, resourcing controlling and reporting activities ensuring that project delivery and risk plans are prepared and maintained and issues are actively managed through to their successful resolution.
  • . Advises senior management on agile practices and behaviours with particular emphasis on how this links to our corporate strategy. Delivers effective & timely communication & reporting to all interested parties including stakeholders and Senior Managers / Execs in order to support effective decision-making and manage the smooth and integrated delivery of projects, with minimal impact to the LGR business
  • Manages third party relationships ensuring that dependencies are identified and managed and deliverables are achieved, as defined in the project's Initiation Document and without incurring unnecessary cost or delay to the project.
  • Identifies and manages risks and issues to ensure that critical problems are escalated at the earliest opportunity and mitigating actions are implemented, in line with change control processes.
  • Complying with Legal & General test principles, audit requirements, and commercial interests. Constructively challenging these processes where you see potential improvements.
  • Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk


Skills Required

Qualifications:
  • CSM/CSP Certification
  • Prince 2 Practitioner, Association of Project Managers (AMP), MSP, PMI or equivalent
  • SPC (Scaled Agile Consultant)

Knowledge:
  • A deep understanding of applying agile values and principles.
  • A understanding of traditional delivery methods and models as a way to best advice and understand current delivery challenges and routes to transformation.
  • Experience in applying Scrum practices.
  • Experience in delivering agile multiple projects, including the management of resources, budget, risks and planning.
  • Experience as an agile consultant, promoting the value of agile software delivery.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members and product owners
  • Experience in the delivery of digital/web based development projects
  • Experience in consulting on continuous delivery/ dev ops planning of test and deployment practices
  • Experience in acceleration the development change and development the continuous delivery/ DevOps Team
  • Experience in supporting and coaching continuous delivery / dev ops teams in new ways of working
  • Technically aware of all elements of the delivery process from discovery to production deployment
  • An understanding of the different drivers and needs of customers and partners
  • An understanding of automated testing frameworks and techniques
