Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join the Advisory team, within the Thomson Reuters Institute (TRI). This division includes research teams and the group which develops thought leadership for the TR business as a whole. TRI provides well known services such as Market Insights , Financial Insights and Stellar Performance . It is also responsible for the organization of significant events and conferences in the professional services sector. There are therefore substantial synergies to be exploited in the development of the Advisory business.
About the Role:
As a Business Analyst within the Thomson Reuters Institute, you will:
  • Bespoking and agreement of the Request for Information (RFI) with the client
  • Undertaking partner and/or client interviews - including input to the discussion guides for both
  • Supporting the Advisory and Business Development teams on pitches and proposals
  • Development and negotiation of the Project Charter - and ensuring that the project scope adheres to this throughout the project
  • Organizing with the client weekly or routine Project Team meetings - keeping a record of these and ensuring all actions are taken by the team
  • Organizing presentations and workshops for discussion of results.
  • Ensuring that the project's progress adheres to the critical path and the delivery remains on track
  • Routine liaison with the client including senior members of their team to understand issues and to resolve or escalate these as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that invoices are triggered by the sales team at the agreed points in the project.
  • Organizing internal (Win Learn Change) and external feedback reviews at the conclusion of the project.
  • Supporting the development of marketing materials and collateral

About You

To be our Business Analyst, you will likely have:
  • Research experience including desk research, interviewing skills and analysis
  • Excellent client handling and communication skills
  • Excellent team working and networking abilities.
  • Excellent command of English and high quality writing skills (additional language skills such as German and Spanish are advantageous)
  • Presentation skills - the development of PowerPoint decks and oral presentation skills
  • Demonstrates an ability to analyze and evaluate data (analytic tools such as MaxQDA, Qualtrics, nVivo, PowerBI etc)
  • Uses project management tools such as MSProject to effectively manage involvement in projects - for oneself and for other team members.
