Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level 3 (A level)

Possible start date: 01 Aug 2024

Are you looking for a business admin apprenticeship? We have a number of exciting roles within our Divisional Delivery Support (DDS), We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy team working with the drive and determination to make a significant contribution within our teams.

What you will do in your working day

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Diary management, ensuring meeting schedules, planners and attendee lists are maintained
  • Management and organisation of meetings, including ensuring briefing packs are prepared, taking notes and following up actions
  • Input data accurately to all relevant spreadsheets and databases.
  • Assist in producing quality management information from spreadsheets
  • Supporting the directorates to meet their Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Managing shared inbox’s ensuring emails are directed to appropriate individuals
  • Providing an efficient and friendly response to team members and others across the organisation, dealing with and prioritising requests for help and support
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues internal and external to the directorate
  • Supporting change projects in the form of testing new equipment, systems, and processes
  • Maintaining a varied range of management systems and documents
  • Providing ad-hoc general effective administration support
  • Follow up queries from Licensee Interface Offices
  • Send/receive/manage documents with the licensee/external stakeholders
  • Collate information for responses to requests for decisions/actions, following up actions to ensure deadlines are met
  • Monitor the recording of inspection findings
  • Issue reports to Licenced Sites for comment, process responses accordingly
  • Ensuring that data is fit for purpose (including completeness, accuracy, and integrity)
  • Ensuring data is protected and security procedures are enforced

Location / Travel:

  • These posts are all based in our Bootle office
  • ONR operates hybrid working (working in the office and or at home) as part of our flexible working policy
  • There is an expectation that everyone will spend time in the office on a regular weekly basis, recognising that some work is better done face to face. Managers will work with their teams on what works best to meet individual, team, business and organisational needs to enable collaboration, as well as balancing personal choice and wellbeing

Security Clearance:

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo and obtain security clearance up to and including SC level

Skills/Job Related Expertise:

  • Leading and communicating - good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Delivering at pace - plan, organise and prioritise work effectively with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Collaborating and partnering - ability to work flexibly as part of a small team
  • Changing and improving – ability to come up with new ideas or ways of doing something
  • Strong IT skills

The training you will be getting

  • Business Administration NVQ Level 3 will be delivered onsite alongside functional skills if required
  • All training will be delivered remotely with dedicated development coach.
  • 20% off the job training, 80% working
  • Functional skills level 2 English and maths if a grade 4/C or equivalent has not already been achieved

Interview information: If shortlisted for interview, please note that the interview will take place on 19th June 2024. Qualifications: 5 GCSEs grade A-C* including English Language and Maths *or equivalent. If successful candidates do not hold these qualifications, they would be expected to undertake English and Maths functional skills alongside their NVQ Level 3 qualification.
