LGBT+ Inclusion at Office for Nuclear Regulation

LGBT+ inclusion is a fundamental part of our annual diversity and inclusion calendar to help promote awareness and understanding of LGBT+ perspectives not only during Pride or LGBT+ History Month but also as a key part of many other campaigns throughout the year and within our people policies.

The Health and Safety Executive’s LGBT+ network also welcomes ONR colleagues, as ONR’s largest office location is co-located within the HSE’s Headquarters building. This means colleagues are able collaborate with shared events and awareness raising.  And the sector has recently launched the Nuclear Rainbow Forum.

As part of our on-going diversity and inclusion monitoring, we are pleased to see that many colleagues feel comfortable sharing their sexuality within their diversity data declarations. From this data we can see that our workforce is reflective of the wider community when compared with the latest census information.
