Binding Authority Technician The role involves all aspects of processing Binder premiums emanating from business placed by the various Sales teams, knowledge of claims handling would be useful but is not essential.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office.

What the day will look like Servicing our biggest account handling the FDO's, premiums and profit commissions together with some smaller accounts.
How this opportunity is different Working as part of a small team within the Binders team liaising closely with the placing team and Accounts to ensure optimum service levels.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience of processing and submitting FDO's, Binding Authority and Lineslip Premiums and Claims an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Familiar with the use of CLASS , IMR , Signing Enquiry advantage but not a necessity.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word,
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to manage their own workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Credit control - monitor and manage receipts, payments, unallocated cash and held funds, liaising with Accounts Department as required.
  • Promptly respond to queries when raised by Xchanging / underwriters , liaising with Account Executives as required.
