About the Role Join our Asset Management team as an Asset Management Operations Specialist, where you will play a key role in delivering the policies, processes, and governance that support the effective management of Oxford University Press's physical and digital assets. Working closely with the Head of Asset Management, you will help implement strategic initiatives, develop governance frameworks, and ensure Asset Management practices are consistently embedded across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with strategic thinking to drive meaningful business improvements.
You will be responsible for producing insightful reporting and analysis that enables teams and stakeholders to make informed decisions about their assets. Partnering with internal data teams, technical system owners, and external providers, you will transform complex data into clear, actionable insights while supporting process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and governance. As Business Product Owner support for core Digital Asset Management systems, you will also contribute to system development, process documentation, and the promotion of sustainable, secure, and reusable asset management practices across the business.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent analytical and organisational skills, confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will build collaborative relationships across the organisation, ensuring policies, training materials, and process documentation are clear, up to date, and effectively communicated. If you are passionate about data quality, governance, continuous improvement, and helping teams work more effectively, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and evolving function.
Essential:
- Strong collaboration skills at all levels, including with Group Communications, Legal and Compliance teams.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.

- Strong communication management skills using internal and external media sites.

- Confident understanding of reporting and technical capabilities needed to fulfil reporting accountabilities.

- Strong knowledge of content metadata and related considerations.
- Experience of involvement in successful projects or change initiatives.
Desirable:
- Confident knowledge of Library, Archiving and Digital Asset Management systems and reporting tools.
- Experience of communicating information to engage both expert and non-expert audiences.
- Experience working with data, processing documentation and communications.
