44 New Affordable Homes Completed in Cumbernauld by Sanctuary Scotland

Happy residents have been handed the keys to brand new flats in Sanctuary’s latest development in Cumbernauld.

The former Lennox House commercial site in Seafar has undergone a £9 million transformation to be replaced by 44 high-quality homes for social rent. 

Housing Secretary Màiri McAllan formally marked the completion of the one, two and three-bedroom apartments in Adam Place during a visit last week. 

New Adam Place resident Claire Farrell said: “I absolutely love my new home, it’s exactly how I hoped it would be. 

“The buildings are very striking and attractive, and inside my flat feels spacious and modern. My friend is an interior designer and told me she was jealous when she saw it”. 

The development marks another milestone in Sanctuary’s regeneration of Cumbernauld’s housing stock in partnership with the Scottish Government and North Lanarkshire Council. 

The project was supported by more than £6 million of Scottish Government funding.
