Diverse leadership enables us to plan, design, and deliver sustainable water systems that safeguard health, account for climate risk, and put communities first.

As we continue our reflections on hashtagWorldWaterDay and hashtagWomensHistoryMonth, we're proudly shining a spotlight on some of the women in our North American business who are making an impact.

Meet Jane Rowan, SPWS, Erica Vigliorolo, Samantha Alix, E.I., Karen Bettencourt, Suzanne Ciavola Newman, P.E., and Stephanie Douglass, PE. All women who are currently serving on industry boards and shaping the future of the water market.

So, what advice do they have for future water industry leaders?

"Seek out mentors, but also build peer networks. Surround yourself with people who champion your growth and challenge you to step into new roles," says Samantha.

Suzanne adds: "It took me years to feel confident enough to speak up in meetings or ask questions, and I’ve learned that your perspective has value even when you’re still finding your footing. It can feel intimidating, especially in rooms filled with strong personalities, but your contributions matter, so don’t hesitate to share them."

Join us in celebrating these women and their contributions to progress within the water industry.
