Job description

Trade Planner (12 month FTC)

Trade Planning sits at the heart of Argos and Habitat, bringing together commercial ambition, customer insight and operational delivery to ensure we show up brilliantly for our customers.

As a Trade Planner, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering plans that drive customer engagement and commercial performance across our brands. Working closely with teams across the business, you'll influence decisions, build alignment and help turn strategy into action, ensuring our priorities are delivered brilliantly across every channel.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across Argos and Habitat, working on major trading moments and strategic initiatives from planning through to execution. You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, helping to shape plans that make a real impact for both our customers and the business.

What you'll do

You'll help shape and deliver the trade plan across Argos and Habitat, ensuring activity is connected, prioritised and executed brilliantly for customers.

Working closely with teams across Commercial, Marketing, Digital, Retail, Supply Chain and Finance, you'll bring people together behind shared objectives, creating alignment and momentum across major trading priorities. You'll support the development and delivery of the trade plan, balancing long-term opportunities with short-term priorities to ensure the business is focused on what matters most.

You'll take ownership of initiatives from planning through to delivery, identifying opportunities and risks, challenging thinking where needed and supporting the business to make informed decisions. Whether reviewing performance, developing future plans or supporting major trading events, you'll play a key role in helping us maximise every opportunity.

You'll also represent Trade Planning in a range of forums, confidently communicating priorities, recommendations and actions to stakeholders across the business, including Senior Leadership Teams.

Who you are

You're commercially minded, naturally curious and enjoy working with others to turn ideas into action.

You'll likely have experience leading initiatives from strategy through to execution and will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing competing priorities and driving progress across multiple workstreams. You enjoy seeing the bigger picture but are equally comfortable rolling your sleeves up to make things happen.

You'll have gained broad business exposure and be confident building relationships across multiple functions. You've got the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, and can adapt your communication style to bring people together behind a common goal.
