Job summaryTrauma & Orthopaedics Ward Clerk 30 hours per week Monday to Friday (shift pattern to be discussed)Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic and highlymotivated ward clerk to join our busy Trauma and Orthopaedics side B ward atWorcester. The holder would need to provide a courteous, efficient and professional wardclerk service, making a valuable contribution to support patient care from thetime of admission, transfer or discharge. The successful candidate would be thefirst contact point for all ward visitors and members of the multi-professionalteam so good interpersonal skills are essential.
We are looking for a well organized, enthusiasticindividual to work within our dynamic team. You will need to be able to workflexibly and apply a methodical approach to a varying workload in what can be afast paced, pressurized environment. You should be self-motivated, haveexcellent communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work onyour own as well as part of a busy team where the work can be deadline driven.
Previous NHS clerical experience is desirable andadministrative and keyboard skills would be an advantage. The successfulcandidate will need an excellent telephone manner and must be able to dealefficiently with members of the public and all disciplines of hospital staff.

Repairingcase notes folders
Makingup new folders, registering patients
Orderingstationary suppliers when required
