About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier Quality Lead to be responsible for managing and continually improving the quality performance of the supply chain for the SZC project, within our Project Delivery Organisation (PDO).

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

You'll work closely with the SZC functions to ensure that project quality is delivered consistently, safely and efficiently.

Specifically, you'll be accountable for monitoring, reporting and improvement of the quality performance of the UK-EPR common supply chain across the HPC and SZC projects to ensure supply chain risks, including risks associated to right-first-time delivery, on-time delivery and risk of counterfeit, fraudulent and suspect items (CFSI) are appropriately mitigated and managed.

Working for SZC, you will work closely with the HPC project and counterparts within their Supplier Quality functions in their offices and locations to support the quality management of the common supply chain working on both projects as part of the EPR-Programme.

Additionally, you will work with the global supply chain on improvement projects to improve performance at various supplier locations as necessary.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • You'll be a Quality professional ideally with expert knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 9001, ISO 19443, ISO 14001 and interrelated processes such as ISO 45001, GSR-2/3.
  • Preferably you'll have experience working with and improving supply chains, and have experience working with integrated teams with the ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels.
  • Large- scale infrastructure project experience would be beneficial.
