Job description
Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent with structures experience to join a major section of the HS2 project in the Aylesbury area.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, working on a range of complex structural packages in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Managing the safe and efficient delivery of structural works packages
- Leading site teams including Section Engineers, Site Engineers and subcontractors
- Planning works and ensuring delivery to programme and budget requirements
- Reviewing and approving RAMS, ITPs, permits and quality documentation
- Coordinating with design, commercial and construction teams
- Monitoring progress and resolving technical or construction challenges
- Driving high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance
- Managing subcontractors and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships
- Supporting reporting, forecasting and programme updates
- Previous experience working as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or Section Engineer on major civil engineering projects
- Strong background delivering structures packages including bridges, reinforced concrete, viaducts, retaining walls or associated structural works
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or major infrastructure project
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, temporary works and construction methodology
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and subcontractors
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- SMSTS and CSCS required
