The Mid Essex Physical & Sensory Impairments team spport people from eighteen years old with a wide range of conditions and difficlties inclding, Acqired Brain Injry, Mltiple Sclerosis, Stroke (CVA), Hntingdon's Disease, Sensory Loss and Fibromyalgia.

As a member of this Team, yo will have opportnities to practice systemically and will work as part of a mlti-disciplinary team. We aim to spport adlts, and their families, who have complex social care and spport needs and are more vlnerable becase of their disability, exclsion, or diminished capacity. We aim to safegard and protect the adlts that we work with balancing independence, control and being able to live as independent and a flfilling life as possible.

The team are friendly and dynamic and always strives for achieving good otcomes for people we spport throgh innovative working sing TEC and commnity soltions for early help alongside complex interventions and safegarding adlts to bring positive otcomes and ideas to life. The achievements within the team trly make a difference to the lives of the people we work with and take a step towards changing the opportnities and otcomes for adlts in or local commnity.

We are prod to offer hybrid working options, with an expectation to be office based in Chelmsford arond to 3 days per week depending on bsiness need for collaborative team working and training.

Abot the Role

As a Senior Social Worker in the team yo will:

Provide Expert Gidance: As a highly skilled Social Worker yo will foster a spportive environment and model best practice, offering specialist advice, and mentoring both newly qalified and experienced colleages.

Assess and Spport: Yo will manage a diverse and complex caseload, ndertaking comprehensive assessments and creating person-centred care plans.

Ensre Compliance: Yo will spport the people we work with to live fll and flfilling lives, within the framework of or stattory Care Act reqirements, relevant legislation and organisational standards.

Manage Caseloads: We look to or Senior Social Workers to provide expert social work practice in complex sitations, pholding the highest standards of professional practice.

Collaborate: The ability to collaborate and bild strong relationships across the Concil and with or partners helps shape soltions that are high-qality and promote independence.

Represent Adlt Social Care: Confident in chairing mlti-agency meetings, yo will proactively take the lead to ensre a social care perspective is actively represented.

Abot Yo

Qalified Social Worker with crrent Social Work England registration

AMHP, BIA or Practice Edcator qalified.

Proactive and passionate Social Worker who has a proven record of working complex cases and spporting other staff members.

Ability to mentor both newly-qalified and experienced team members and to provide advice and gidance in complex sitations.

Significant Adlt Social Care experience with a comprehensive nderstanding of crrent legislation, reglations and gidance.

Evidence of contining professional development and capability of practice in accordance with crrent professional standards.

An in-depth nderstanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages.

The ability to make clear decisions, to highlight and limit potential risks associated with intervention.

Experience of chairing meetings involving clients, family members, carers and other mlti-agency professionals

A passionate social worker who wants to develop and become part of the management team.

This role involves travelling arond Essex, in areas that are often rral and not well served by pblic transport. Therefore, a driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility reqirements of the role throgh other means sch as Access to Work - is essential.
