£36,14 to £51,834 per annm

Location: Clacton on Sea & Colchester

Working Style: Commnity-based worker

This vacancy is open to Experienced and Newly Qalified Social Worker's (NQSW). Please note that the starting salary for a NQSW is £36,14 per annm, rising to £38,487 per annm pon sccessfl completion of the ASYE programme.

Or Social Workers work alongside people and their families and carers to help them think throgh what might help them get on with their lives in the way that works best for them. We do this within the framework of or stattory Care Act reqirements. This means many of or conversations are framed as 'assessments', 'reviews', 'spport planning' and 'safegarding'. Bt or aim is always to listen and nderstand what matters to the person and then to work with them to think throgh how this might be achieved.

Abot the Team

The North Essex Physical & Sensory Impairments team spport people from eighteen years old with a wide range of conditions and difficlties inclding, Acqired Brain Injry, Mltiple Sclerosis, Stroke (CVA), Hntingdon's Disease and Fibromyalgia. We aim to safegard and protect the people we work with, balancing independence, control and being able to live as independent and a flfilling life as possible.

As a member of this Team, yo will have opportnities to practice systemically and will work as part of a mlti-disciplinary team. The team are friendly and dynamic and are passionate abot achieving good otcomes for the people we spport. Throgh innovative working sing TEC and commnity soltions for early help, alongside complex interventions and safegarding, we strive to bring positive otcomes and ideas to life. The achievements within the team trly make a difference to the lives of the people we work with and take a step towards changing the opportnities and otcomes for adlts in or local commnity.

Abot Yo

We are looking for someone who:

Is a qalified Social Worker with crrent Social Work England registration.

Has a sond nderstanding of the Care Act 14, Mental Capacity Act, and safegarding practice.

Demonstrates strong assessment, risk management, decision-making and professional analysis skills.

Is confident working atonomosly in terms of case work planning and time management to ensre practice standards are maintained.

Actively contribtes to a spportive team cltre throgh sharing learning, research, and articles arond the broader environmental factors.

Is committed to critical reflective practice, learning, and continos professional development.

Has experience of chairing meetings.

Is able to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local commnity.

Ideally has experience of working with people with a physical or sensory impairment.

Or Social Worker roles involve travelling arond Essex. A driving licence and car - or the ability to meet the mobility reqirements of the role throgh other means - is essential.
