The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for determining and leading the OxfordAQA marketing strategy across core markets to build brand and market share, deliver commercial objectives and achieve sustainable sales growth.

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of the marketing strategy and campaigns for OxfordAQA International Qualifications across key segments, and for overseeing the day-to-day operational activity of the marketing team to build brand awareness, and share, maximise profitability and achieve sustainable sales growth in line with departmental/ divisional objectives.

You will develop a strong marketing relationship with OUP and AQA in order to deliver a cohesive marketing strategy, to leverage best practice and drive economies of scale. Day to day activities could include planning a high-profile thought leadership campaign, meeting with stakeholders within the business to get buy-in on a project and writing a brief for an agency for a new initiative. Although this role doesn't have direct line management responsibility, they will delegate and oversee work across the wider marketing team and take on a coaching/ mentoring role within the team.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

Essential:
  • Demonstrable experience of defining and delivering successful marketing strategies, ideally in both B2B and B2C contexts, across the full customer lifecycle
  • Experience/ understanding of marketing processes including multi-channel campaigns, lead generation, customer value proposition development, KPI setting, and sales enablement
  • Experience of setting KPIs and analysing results to inform future planning
  • Excellent organization skills, with an ability to independently manage a varied and busy workload
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including copywriting
  • Willingness and flexibility to embrace change and think creatively to solve problems
  • Experience in managing a wide portfolio of projects and responsibilities, and ability to take initiative to drive projects forward
  • Strong relationship-building and team-working skills with experience of collaborating, negotiating and influencing key stakeholders in a matrix environment

Desirable:
  • Experience of marketing to international audiences
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel
  • Recognised marketing qualification eg. CIM
  • Knowledge and experience of the education sector, particularly in relation to qualifications
