Base Location: Dublin 18

Salary: from €45,000+ depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time - Flexible working patterns available - 37.5 hours per week

About the Department

Energy Customer Solutions is the face of SSE to our customers in GB and Ireland, providing leading and reliable B2B services as well as leading retail solutions for our B2C customers.

What is the Role

The Senior Commercial Analyst will be responsible for collating and analysing sales and profitability information and providing value-add insights to help drive forward the strategic objectives of the team. A key part of the role involves work closely with key members across several different departments to deliver on our objectives. Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to:

-Track & analyse sales performance against budget, providing insights on performance to senior stakeholders on a regular basis

-Provide weekly updates on our net position, sales won and lost and the resulting impacts on profitability over time

-Assess cost to acquire by sales channel, making recommendations on the optimal channel mix to drive desired sales volumes at lowest cost

-Work with the sales & analytics teams to assess effectiveness of current acquisition and retention strategies and assist the sales team to optimise their strategy using churn propensity and life time value modelling developed by analytics

-Perform regular market and competitor analysis so we understand our position in the market on an ongoing basis and can assess risks & opportunities

-Work closely with the Marketing, Digital and CVM teams to develop and deliver new products and propositions, aligned to the Business Energy strategy

-Track & communicate performance against KPIs, highlighting key trends and the resulting impacts on the team performance and strategy

-Presentation preparation & delivery for monthly, quarterly team meetings as required

-Work closely with the data & analytics team to automate and refine reports, reducing time spent on reporting to allow for more value-add deep dive analytics to be performed

-Provide assurance over data accuracy, highlighting root causes for data errors and providing solutions to mitigate these

-Support the Business Energy Commercial Manger to provide coaching and guidance to junior members of the team

What do I need?

-Intermediate to advanced excel skills

-Experience working in the Energy Industry (desired, but not essential)

-Track record for producing or interpreting insights that influence decision makers

-Data analytics and visualisation skills

-Keen interest in industry developments & innovation

-Strong commercial acumen

-Highly committed, driven, dedicated and assertive

-Proven problem-solving skills

-Excellent attention to detail

-Customer focus

-Ability to collaborate in teams

-Positive attitude to change
