Come and join our team!We are seeking to employ enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 clinical support workers for Ward L19, located on F floor Jubilee Wing at the Leeds General Infirmary and Ward J11, Located on Level 7 Gledhow wing at St James University Hospital.
Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing safe and compassionate care of their patients. This includes providing high standards of basic care and supporting and guiding new unregistered staff members.Excellent inter-personal skills are essential. A positive and flexible style and approach is necessary and you must be a team player, who supports your colleagues and works well within the team and also independently.The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a friendly and supportive team who are creative and enthusiastic, with a track record of continually improving performance.We need someone with a passion for interventional, acute and chronic nursing to support the delivery of a high quality service that enhances patient safety and the patient experience. It is an extremely fast paced service and we care for both chronic and acute patients.The Trust has a clear vision through the Leeds way to be the leader in specialist and integrated patient care with the core values to be patient centered, fair collaborative accountable and empowered.

L19 is a cardiology admissions ward. We admit both acute and chronic patients. In order to provide high standards of care we need to work together as a team both registered and unregistered staff.

We are flexible and we often deal with conflicting priorities and therefore good communication is key. We strive to create a supportive environment. If you enjoy providing high standards of patient care, working in a team and being busy then this is the job for you.

J11 is a medically optimised for discharge ward that works as part of the cardio-respiratory team. We are based at St James hospital working closely with the respiratory acute wards within the trust. However, We also aim to provide a high quality of care to all patients within the trust that require the teams high levels of knowledge and dedication in assisting patients to be discharged from hospital safely.

J11 strive to be dedicated to patient care and aim to maintain patient advocacy and voice in what they would like and how they would like to be discharged. The team work in conjuction with the respiratory discharge team and together we aim to build a bridge between the hospital and community services with patient voice at the forefront. If providing outstanding patient care, working alongside a busy and dedicated team of which is continuously growing and developing then this is the job for you.
What you will bring to the role
Criteria:

NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, Diploma in Health Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent health care related qualification

The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the jobholder must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment

Basic skills Maths and English Level 2 (equivalent of GCSE 4-9 (A*-C)). (desirable)

Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering personal and clinical care.

Utilisation of planning and organisational skills

Insight into roles responsibilities of post

Basic IT skills

Significant experience of working within the speciality or department. (desirable)

Caring and motivated

Interpersonal skills, confident and enthusiastic

Compassionate

Reliable and trustworthy

Willingness to learn and develop their role

Positive role model (desirable)

Leadership skills or experience (desirable)
