Job summary

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.

Employers should note that visa applications are assessed against the Immigration Rules in force at the time of application. There is no guarantee that roles meeting current eligibility or salary thresholds will continue to do so in future

Main duties of the job

In this post you will be responsible for providing some basic elements of patient care, assisting with procedures/chaperoning and organising the daily running of the clinics.

Please note that if you are selected for an interview there will be a pre-interview English and Numeracy test for this role.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support Worker to join our busy ENT clinic team. In this post you will be responsible for providing some basic elements of patient care, assisting with procedures/chaperoning and some clerical duties such as dealing with patient notes and referrals. Our aim is to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of patient care. We are committed to developing a culture in line with our values that improves quality and enhances the patient experience and you will play a vital part in the team.

• Numeracy/Literacy skills to Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) IELTS or OETS (Overall score of C1) accepted for overseas applicants (Level 7 in Listening/speaking/reading & Level 6.5 in Writing)
• Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).

Experience

Essential

• 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent
