Role Purpose The Senior Business Change Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of strategic change: designing,leadingand delivering change interventions for large projects, or across a complex portfolio of smaller projects. This includes providing visible leadership across the change portfolio, modelling best practice in business change, ensuring alignment with strategic direction,maintainingconsistency ofapproachand supporting effectiveprioritisation,sequencingand governance of change activity.
The role is to ensure successful adoption of strategic change initiatives across Ofgem by working closely withprogrammeteams,directoratesand stakeholders.Therolefocusesonembeddingnewwaysofworking,managingimpactsand supportingbenefitsrealisation. Acting as the bridge betweenprogrammedelivery and business operations, the postholder drives engagement, readiness and capability building to enable sustainable change.
The postholder will work with senior leaders,programmeteams and delivery partners tomaintaina clear view of the change portfolio,identifyinterdependencies, manage competingprioritiesand ensure leaders have the insight needed to maketimely, evidence-based decisions.
Job description KeyResponsibilities Portfolio Management & Leadership- Maintain oversight of the change portfolio,providinga consolidated view of activity, priorities, sequencing, risks,interdependenciesand resource implications.
- Work with senior leaders and delivery teams to support portfolio-level decision-making, helping toprioritisechange activity and ensure effort is focused on the highest-value outcomes.
- Provide visible,inclusiveand effective leadership across multidisciplinary teams, creating clarity of purpose, buildingcapabilityand enabling colleagues to perform at their best.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure business change activity directly supports delivery of the benefits and outcomes set out in the business case.
- Develop and communicatea clear visionfor change, setting consistent standards and championing best practice change management tools, processes andbehavioursacross projects andprogrammes.
ChangePlanning&Adoption- Develop,maintainanddeliverrobustchangeplansalignedtoprogrammeobjectives,milestonesand delivery timelines.
- Workcloselywithprogrammeandprojectmanagerstointegratechange activity into overall delivery plans.
- Provide business change input into business cases, ensuring the scale of change, stakeholder impacts, readiness activity, adoption approach and benefits realisation requirements are accurately reflected.
