Detailed job description and main responsibilities To greet and direct patients/visitors to wards and clinics in a polite and courteous manner.
To facilitate the admission of patients to the Maternity Wards. To support with the preparation of new Maternity bookings.

Person specificationExperience Essential criteria - Knowledge of customer care
- 1 years clerical experience
Desirable criteria - Previous reception experience Previous NHS/GP experience
Communication and relationship skills Essential criteria - Enthusiastic and motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to deal with rude or aggressive behaviour
Planning and organisation skills Essential criteria - Ability to prioritise workload
- Able to use own initiative
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Training & Qualifications Essential criteria - GCSE English/Maths Grade C or equivalent Literacy & Numerical Skills
- IT Skills
Desirable criteria - Previous Nerve Centre experience

The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
