We provide a complete facilities management solution for the Ministry of Defence Northwood HQ site in London. We provide all non-military support on-site, which includes everything from transport management to ground works and mechanical and electrical engineering.

Our in-house team of experts provides a range of mechanical and electrical engineering services at the main headquarters of the Ministry of Defence in London. We have also delivered a range of capital works and lifecycle renewal projects, all within a complex, highly secure environment.

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our building services team at our MoD site in Northwood.

You'll:

• Assist the 'Commercial Team' embedded within a fast paced, high-profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) Private Finance Initiative (PFI) based at Northwood Joint Headquarters.
• Be responsible for assisting in the delivery of new works, lifecycle and business as usual activities. This will involve working closely with the commercial team to obtain quotations through the tender process. Tender analysis and subsequent procurement of materials and subcontractors.
• Assist in planning payment schedules and the formulation cash flow forecasts in order track and report margins up the chain of command.
• Assist with the measuring of works completed and help agree payment applications.
• Monitor progress of applications and any disputes.

We are looking for:

• A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
• Experience of setting up and/or operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution
• Experience of technical minute taking at contractual meetings and able to demonstrate the ability to collate information and prepare reports
• Experience of drafting contractual correspondence on behalf of the Project Manager and preparation of payment certificates and interim financial reports
