About the Role

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a passionate Psychology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school, where you'll play a key role in inspiring students and supporting their academic, personal, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive Psychology lessons in line with the National Curriculum and examination board specifications at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and a passion for learning.
• Teach a broad and balanced Psychology curriculum, enabling students to develop their understanding of key psychological theories, research methods, and real-world applications.
• Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support where required.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and public examinations, ensuring they achieve their full academic potential.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student progress and wellbeing.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements
• Strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the Psychology curriculum and examination requirements.
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
