Tutor of Psychology

Ref:2627/017

Hours:30.8 hours per week, 0.83fte (20 teaching hours per week)
Salary:Up to £43,408 pro rata per annum* (please see salary guidance attached). Plus generous benefits. These include:

57 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)
Generous Occupational Pension Scheme
Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)

*Progression beyond point 12 of the salary scale (£40,407) is subject to Tutors obtaining QTLS. Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £44,875 - please see attached salary guidance for further details.

About the role

About the Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring educator to join our supportive and welcoming team, bringing with them a genuine passion for Psychology and a commitment to helping every learner achieve their potential. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Psychology, ideally across A Level and BTEC Applied Psychology, and will be confident in creating engaging, inclusive and challenging learning experiences for students with a range of abilities and aspirations. An ability or willingness to contribute to the delivery of our WJEC Level 3 Criminology Diploma would also be welcomed.

You will be joining a well-resourced department where collaboration, creativity and sharing good practice are at the heart of what we do.
