About the O pportunity

The Repository Infrastructure Framework is engineering, design and construction framework being delivered on the Nuclear Waste Services Low Level Waste Repository site at Drigg in Cumbria. The role is to project manage projects and tasks for the Repository Infrastructure Framework and subsequent frameworks at the Low Level Waste Repository.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Responsibility for the management and delivery of Design projects and tasks across the Contract Framework.
  • Ensure flawless project execution, meeting or beating the delivery commitments made.
  • Ensuring capability needs are clearly communicated.
  • To participate in Design Reviews and, where appropriate, organise such reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects' requirements.
  • Maintain the capability of the delivery team, identify and cover capability shortfalls.
  • Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with
  • Producing the financial forecasts for the delivery area and ensuring that the forecasts are accurate and up to date.
  • Driving project performance in line with financial forecast and reporting project performance indicators as required.
  • Ensuring the incorporation of 'best practice' and LFE into the framework/project /task delivery.
  • Management of the varying demand profiles including resource skills across the portfolio and managing the associated resource needs.


Here's What You'll Need:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced project environment
  • Familiar with working under NEC 4 contracts
  • Good working knowledge of CEMAR
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical or business discipline
  • Good understanding of financial and commercial aspects of project management.
  • APM qualification or equivalent
