We are on the hunt for a dynamic Project Director to be a driving force within our Infrastructure (Water) team.

This is an opportunity to not only lead successful project delivery but also cultivate rich relationships with customers, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.

You will:
  • Collaborate closely with our Operations Director to devise Capture Plans that focus on boosting competitiveness. These plans will include tailored customer-focused value propositions offering holistic solutions encompassing quality proposals, technical proficiency, competitive pricing and practical timelines.
  • During Capture Planning stages you'll work alongside our Lead Design Manager identifying and securing optimal design partners for each venture. Consideration should also be given towards strategic Joint Venture partnerships or supply chain collaborations.
  • Have responsibility for establishing contractual arrangements along with ensuring agreed financial outcomes.
  • Develop Project Execution Plans while setting up efficient project organisations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers who oversee large-scale multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality solutions within budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct comprehensive project reviews that cover all aspects of project delivery including finance, commercial considerations, risk management as well as health & safety factors.
  • Identify potential future work opportunities through relationship building within industry circles involving clients and suppliers.

We are looking for:
  • Someone who has multi-disciplinary experience in infrastructure projects, ideally within water infrastructure.
  • Collaborative leadership skills.
  • Proven ability in building diverse and inclusive teams that inspire excellence while delivering against defined success metrics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects exceeding £200 million, preferably within the water sector.
  • Strategic thinking abilities coupled with experience contributing towards strategy development aligned with compelling visions or outcomes.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent accompanied by extensive experience & understanding of engineering principles is necessary.
  • You will have proven experience of developing exceptional relationships with customers & stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial conditions & contractual frameworks along with adeptness in project management practices.
  • Considerable experience working with infrastructure clients.
  • Knowledge about construction contract law due to experience combined with formal training is expected.
  • Familiarity around planning processes & statutory processes is necessary along with skill at researching information resolving contractual issues.
  • Successful track record collaborating within Joint Venture/Alliance environments
