Data Technology and Analytics are evolving their data estate through means of cloud adoption.This role will be resposnbile for the build and operation of our new data platform and capabilities, while maintaining, migrating and deprecating the current multi-vendor on-premise estate.
We're looking for a highly motivated leader, with experience developing, coaching and mentoring highly effective data platform teams. You will be responsible for ensuring system uptime, security, maintenance, monitoring, and support for our cloud-based hosted customer systems.

-Lead the team to build and operate world class, modern data platforms
-Contribute towards the strategic roadmap for Cloud migration and adoption
-Work closely with IS Security and Cloud Enablement teams to ensure implementation and practice of policies, procedures & SLA's including those for security, disaster recovery, and compliance standards.
-Responsibility for overall deployment & management of cloud infrastructure using provisioning & configuring software; while monitoring performance & troubleshooting issues.
-Own and operate the existing multi-vendor, on-premise data estate, contributing towards our strategic deprecation plan
-Recruit an implement an orginisational structure supportive of our DevOps and CoreOps adoption strategy
-Lead, coach and mentor highly effective, DevOps and CoreOps Data Platform Teams
-Work cross-functionally with strategic business teams across Sky Technology to understand requirements then create and develop low-level designs to meet the required needs
-Experience in leading DevOps and CoreOps data platform teams
-Experience in Cloud adoption, build and operation
-Experience of managing relationships at a senior level, Director and above
-Experience with build\/release (CI\/CD) pipelines and methodologies (Jenkins, Hudson, etc)
-Exposure to a large production environment and related operations is required
-Comfortable with contributing to and building technology strategy
-Experience with IT Security policies and best practice
