Performance Apprentice

We are looking for an apprentice to join our Performance Delivery team.

Within this role we are looking for someone to help us with monitoring our performance measures and support us to better understand what factors effect performance. You will support in developing reports and analysis of data from our performance systems such as Acumen, Bugle and Power BI.

Some tasks within this role will be project based, aimed at improving performance and solving current performance problems and challenges.

Performance is dependent on many departments at TransPennine Express and as such, you will gain experience with other teams too such as control, stations, fleet and our conductors.

Contracted hours for this role will be 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role will mainly be based at our Head Office, in Manchester City Centre, a short walk from Oxford Road station, with the potential for travel across the network.

Interviews will be scheduled on 3 rd and 10 th July 2024 and the role will commence 9 th September 2024. Starting salary is £16,500.

About you

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who is eager to learn and develop. The role requires problem solving, so if being able to spot problems and think creatively will benefit you in this position. A keen eye for detail is also a must.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with good numerical and communication skills. Also, an interest in geography would be a benefit to understand our network across the North and into Scotland. An understanding of Microsoft or Windows knowledge, specifically Teams, Excel, and Word. As you will be working with a variety of different colleagues, we are looking for someone with effective communication skills and a helpful team player with a passion for problem solving. Being able to spot problems and think creatively will benefit you in this position, a keen eye for detail is also a must.
