Role Purpose The People Operations Officer plays a critical support role within a hybrid HR delivery model, providing comprehensive administrative support across Learning
and Development and core HR Lifecyle to ensure efficient, accurate and timely delivery of all people processes and transactions. Operating within a shared services environment, they act as a central point for administrative HR tasks, collaborating closely with Senior People Partners and Service Enablement Hubs to deliver consistent, efficient and employee-focused services.
Job descriptionKey AccountabilitiesDeliver accurate and timely execution of core HR processes, including learning & development, onboarding, offboarding, contract generation and employee record maintenance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and policy standards.
Maintain HR systems and data integrity, supporting reporting requirements and ensuring documentation meets audit and governance standards.
Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance or escalating issues to appropriate teams to ensure a positive employee experience.
Lead on developing FAQs for common queries.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and participating in HR technology upgrades and user testing. Collaborate with Senior People Partners and Service Enablement Hubs, providing administrative support for projects and initiatives to enable
efficient service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Support Manage day-to-day HR operations such as learning and development administration, onboarding, offboarding, movers, contract generation, data entry, employee record maintenance and position management administration (Itrent).
Creation and maintenance of FAQ documentation for employee queries.
Process Co-Ordination Ensure timely and accurate execution of HR processes aligned with service level agreements (SLAs). System Management / Compliance & Documentation
Maintain HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and supporting reporting needs.
Ensure HR documentation meets legal and policy standards, supporting audits and governance requirements.
Employee Experience Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance or escalating to appropriate teams.
Person specificationKey Skills and Capabilities Experience delivering HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.
Skilled in using HR systems to manage data and ensure compliance.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Clear communicator with the ability to handle sensitive queries and collaborate across teams.
High attention to detail and discretion when managing confidential information.
Customer-focused, adaptable and proactive in improving HR processes and service delivery.
Essential Criteria- Experience in HR administration processes including onboarding, contract changes, recruitment and learning & development administration. (Lead Criteria)
Ability to prioritise changing work demands, work effectively under pressure, identify risks and respond appropriately to business and employee needs.
(Lead Criteria)Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to understand and deliver a positive customer experience in a timely and professional manner using a range of media options and in person conversations.
Experience of working as part of a team to manage multiple business processes, delivering a gold-standard customer service experience for employees and supporting wider business change initiatives as required.
Proficiency in the use of standard IT packages such as excel, teams, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 apps.
Working knowledge of HR employment practice including basic employment law and HR best practice
