About the Opportunity

Jacobs is currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join our Nuclear Power and Engineering Technical Services (NPETS) business. NPETS is entering an exciting phase of opportunity by supporting our key client's UK nuclear fleet through a business transformation, and by supporting new small modular reactor developers. There are two roles available one supporting our Gloucester Business Park Location and the second located at Heysham. These roles support both hybrid and part-time working.

It's not something you see very often on TV these days, but figuratively, it is a very useful skill, one of which is vital if your goal is to keep nuclear power stations operating safely, contributing to the UK's Net Zero carbon target, or to heExperience in a consulting mode of working
MS Office Suite - Excel / ATS /CRMs
Knowledge of candidate management systems
Structured and organised with attention to detail
Good stakeholder management skills lp prepare them for decommissioning.

The UK's five operating stations deliver 16% of the UK's power, and it takes a large team delivering 100's of projects to enable these stations to continue generating as well as defuel the three stations that have ceased operation - and that's a lot of plates.

And this is where you come in

Your role will be to support our Operation Managers to enable them lead our teams of over 200 staff located at 10 sites and stations throughout the UK, who deliver projects for our client, including project management, project engineering, HSE and site supervision professionals. If you're familiar with employee onboarding, training and development, you'll know that they have plenty of moving parts and complexity, which is why you'll be working alongside our Operations Managers and with our Framework Service team too.

Centre to the success of the role will be your people skills, building effective relationships and interacting with multiple internal and external stakeholders in multiple locations.

You'll also work closely with colleagues to support activities that offer the best service to the client. Through your interactions, you'll be able to gather useful intelligence on client needs and work with the team to deliver innovative solutions.

You'll utilise your strong communication and engagement skills to achieve client, people and business outcomes, working with your team and peers that are based in different locations across the UK.

As well as focusing on the support to this framework, you'll get involved in other aspects of our high-performing business. We're continuously evolving and growing the business, so there's plenty of opportunity to evolve and grow your skills and career too.
