The Motor Transport Department (MT) provides a vital role in support of the UK's Principal Military Headquarters at Northwood HQ.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to portray a professional image in delivering a first-class service to both military and civil servants.
You will ·
- Drive a variety of vehicles within the pool, ranging from cars to minibuses .
- Provide services in accordance with both MoD and or civilian regulations .
- Complete first line maintenance, checks in accordance with vehicle specifications and requirements.
- V aleting and preparation of vehicles when not on driving duties .
As part of the Driver Team at Northwood HQ, your standard working hours are organised according to a 12 week shift pattern which will require you to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday within this period. For this reason, ideally you will reside within 30 mins travel time to Northwood HQ.
We're looking for - Ability to obtain security clearance to 'SC' level. In order to obtain clearance, the successful candidate will have been, continually, a resident in the UK for the past 5 years .
- Should the successful candidate not hold the relevant licence (D or D1 without "101" restriction or CPC), Skanska will look to support to obtain these within an agreed timescale .
- Driver CPC Qualification card (preferable) .
- Driver Tachograph Card (preferable) .
- Professional driving experience .
- A good geographical knowledge.
- Experience working in a transport environment .
- Extensive knowledge of driving regulations and d rivers h ours Regulations
