St. Edmund's CofE Primary and Nursery School is seeking a dedicated, skilled and compassionate Class Teacher to join our welcoming school community.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will:

• Deliver ambitious, engaging and inclusive teaching that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
• Create a positive climate for learning built upon clear routines, high expectations and respectful relationships.
• Use assessment effectively to identify gaps, adapt teaching and respond precisely to pupils' needs.
• Provide appropriate support and challenge for all learners, including pupils with SEND and those facing disadvantage.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals.
• Support and promote the school's Christian vision, values and inclusive ethos.
• Fulfil the professional responsibilities set out in the Teachers' Standards.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status.
• Demonstrates consistently effective classroom practice.
• Has secure knowledge of the primary curriculum and how children learn.
• Establishes high expectations and a purposeful, inclusive climate for learning.
• Uses assessment intelligently to inform teaching and address misconceptions.
• Understands adaptive teaching and can remove barriers for pupils with additional needs.
• Builds positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Is reflective, organised and committed to improving their practice.
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
• Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Is willing to support and uphold the Christian character and values of the school.
