The Governing Body of Hopton Primary School wishes to appoint a highly skilled, innovative and creative teacher to work in school, initially in Key Stage 2 from September 2026.

The school is a Victorian building set in a rural area and is part of a pyramid of five primary schools in the Mirfield area. It is a school of 284 pupils and 40 staff and holds a key role in the local community.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has considerable experience of teaching and has high expectations for all.
• Has a secure understanding and experience of implementing amendments for children with additional needs.
• Is dedicated, energetic and proactive, with the vision and motivation to inspire others.
• Is committed to helping us nurture excellence and drive our school forward.
• Will support partnerships with pupils, staff, parents, Governors and the community.
• Is an effective communicator helping to work with teachers to implement effective behaviour management strategies and the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum.
