Maldon District Concil is working in partnership with Essex Shared Services to spport the role of ICT Centralised Services a fll-time position offering hybrid working with an expectation of attending the office one day per week. Role Prpose:

Provide specialist technical spport across ICT services by monitoring, maintaining and assring the performance, availability and stability of the Concil's ICT systems and infrastrctre.

Act as a central technical resorce between IT projects and IT spport, spporting the transition of systems, pgrades and changes into bsiness-as-sal service.

Monitor system performance, alerts and incidents to identify emerging isses, risks or service degradation and spport timely resoltion.

Spport bsiness-as-sal ICT services by responding to and assisting with technical incidents and problems when reqired, flexing effort in response to operational need.

Provide technical inpt and assrance to IT projects, ensring systems are stable, secre and spportad services operate in line with agreed standards, secrity reqirements, policies and best practice.

Maintain accrate technical records, docmentation and monitoring information to spport effective service management and continity.

Work collaboratively with IT spport, project teams and sppliers to deliver reliable, resilient and cstomer-focsed ICT services.

Be a role model for the service, demonstrating professionalism, resilience and a strong focs on commnication, continos improvement and service qality.

Accontabilities - Service Delivery:

Monitor the performance, availability and health of ICT systems, infrastrctre and services, identifying isses, trends and risks and spporting timely resoltion.

Provide specialist technical spport across ICT services, contribting to the resoltion of incidents, problems and service disrptions where reqired.

Spport the transition of IT projects, system changes and pgrades into bsiness-as-sal spport, ensring appropriate handover, docmentation and technical assrance.

Work closely with IT spport and project teams to ensre systems are stable, secre and spportable, providing technical inpt and challenge where appropriate.

Maintain and pdate technical docmentation, system records and monitoring information to spport effective service management and continity.

Identify opportnities to improve system performance, resilience and monitoring arrangements, contribting to continos improvement activity.

Spport compliance with ICT policies, secrity standards, data protection reqirements and technical governance arrangements.

Engage with internal teams and external sppliers as reqired to spport effective ICT service delivery and isse resoltion.

The Experience Yo Will Bring:

Qalifications and Knowledge: A strong candidate will have a relevant degree or eqivalent experience, spported by ongoing CPD and technical knowledge across ICT systems, infrastrctre, clod services and service management. Yo'll bring hands-on experience in ICT service delivery, with a solid nderstanding of local-athority-scale environments, Azre clod platforms, system monitoring, performance management and ITSM practices. Yo shold nderstand how projects transition into BA spport, be aware of cyber secrity, resilience, backp and recovery, and have strong knowledge of information governance and data protection. Crcially, yo'll recognise how ICT nderpins wider concil operations and frontline services.

Experience: A strong candidate who has hands-on experience in technical ICT spport within medim or large organisations, confidently monitoring live systems, responding to alerts and resolving or escalating isses. Yo'll have experience spporting both BA services and project changes, working with clod platforms like Azre, following ICT standards and change control, and contribting to incident investigation and service improvement. Yo'll work collaboratively with teams and sppliers, managing competing priorities and adapting to changing operational demands in a technical environment.

Skills and Ability: A strong candidate who will bring solid technical aptitde, able to monitor and interpret system performance, investigate isses and take appropriate action. Yo'll work confidently across BA and project activity, sing strong problem-solving skills, clear commnication and the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical colleages. Yo'll collaborate effectively with ICT teams, stay organised while managing competing tasks, remain calm in a live operational environment, and se ICT tools and Microsoft applications to track activity and maintain accrate records. A willingness to contine developing yor technical skills as systems evolve is essential.
