Join a team of experts and progressive thinkers We're looking for an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our growing HR team in Bristol or Birmingham.
The role This role is focussed on coordinating Bevan Brittan's end-to-end employee onboarding process, ensuring every new joiner has a smooth, professional and welcoming experience from offer acceptance through to their first day. Working closely with our recruitment team, hiring managers and new colleagues, you'll play a key role in delivering an efficient onboarding experience while maintaining accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
You'll become the go to person for onboarding administration, while also providing support across a number of wider HR administrative activities when needed.
The role reports to our HR Operations Manager and is based in either our Bristol or Birmingham office. We operate a hybrid working model, providing colleagues with the equipment and support needed to work effectively from home. Most members of the HR team choose to attend the Bristol or Birmingham office once a week, although there is flexibility depending on business and individual needs.
What you'll be doing Your primary focus will be managing the onboarding process for all new joiners across the firm. This will include:
- Coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process from offer acceptance through to day-one, ensuring onboarding is completed accurately, within agreed timescales and HR service standards
- Working closely with our Recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment into onboarding
- Carrying out pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, DBS and reference checks
- Liaising with hiring managers and new joiners to ensure all onboarding requirements are completed on time
- Planning and coordinating induction activities, ensuring colleagues feel welcomed and informed
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Responding to onboarding queries and providing an excellent service to new starters and managers
- Supporting employee benefits administration and other HR administration as required
- Contributing to improvements in onboarding processes and the wider employee experience
In addition to this you will be supporting the wider HR Generalist Team with queries in the HR Team Inbox and other cyclical activities.
What we are looking for from you We'd particularly like to hear from candidates who have previous experience in an administrative role, coordinating multiple activities in a busy environment. Some experience working within HR, recruitment or onboarding would be preferable but is not essential.
