SCHOOL VACANCY

Are you an inspiring, enthusiastic and caring educator who can make a difference to children across the primary age range?

Dringhouses Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent, highly motivated and flexible Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and dedicated team.

We are looking for someone who can confidently lead high-quality learning sessions across the primary age range, adapting their approach to meet the needs of different pupils and classes. You will be someone who enjoys working with children, has high expectations and can create positive relationships that enable children to feel confident, successful and ready to learn.

Alongside teaching and learning, an important part of the role will be providing pastoral support for vulnerable pupils. We are looking for someone who understands that strong relationships, consistency and a caring approach can make a significant difference to a child's experience of school.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is an excellent practitioner who can confidently lead learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Has high expectations of all children and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
  • Can deliver engaging, purposeful learning sessions with confidence.
  • Builds strong, positive and trusting relationships with children.
  • Has a calm, nurturing and consistent approach when supporting vulnerable pupils.
  • Is able to work independently, use their own initiative and become an active member of our school team.
  • Is flexible and willing to support wherever they are needed across school.
  • Has excellent communication skills and works positively with teachers, support staff and families.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of school, including a daily lunchtime duty.

This post is subject to the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009 and as such shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a Disqualification Declaration. Any information supplied will be discussed at interview.

Fixed term until August 2027 with a view to be made permanent, 35hpw with a 1/2hr unpaid lunch break. The position starts from 18th October or as close as possible.
