Graduate Project Manager
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll develop valuable project management skills while helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, gaining exposure to project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, procurement, reporting, and project governance. This role is ideal for someone keen to develop a long-term career within project management and the construction sector.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of construction projects.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of project plans, programmes, budgets, and resource schedules.
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including project briefs, RAID logs, delivery plans, and progress reports.
- Monitoring project progress and highlighting potential risks, issues, or delays.
- Supporting budget tracking and monitoring project expenditure.
- Assisting with procurement activities and liaising with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Attending site visits, project meetings, and reviews while building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Producing project updates and performance reports to support effective decision-making.
- Supporting quality assurance, health and safety compliance, and project governance activities.
- Taking advantage of development opportunities to build your project management knowledge and experience.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree, or equivalent qualification, in a Project Management-related discipline.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in project management and construction project delivery.
- Previous project management experience, whether through work placements, internships, education, or employment, would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to sites and offices as required.
- A current site card, or a willingness to obtain one, would be beneficial.
