We specialise in English and Maths retake opportunities (GCSE andFunctional Skills) for young people, as part of their study programme, as wellas adult learners through part-time (day/evening) and online provision.

We are looking for an outstanding Lecturer of English with a trackrecord of success, and with passion, enthusiasm and flair to join ourprogressive and forward-thinking team in the new academic year.

The successful applicant(s) will have a related degree, a fullteaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) together with experience of teaching ineither the FE or Schools' sector. Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome toapply for the post.

The successfulcandidate will have experience of GCSE delivery and be responsible for creatingand delivering, an inspiring and carefully sequenced curriculum to 16-18 andadult groups which could be across a range of our campuses and during daytimeand evening hours.

The successful candidate should be confident and able to implementup to date teaching and learning pedagogy, both within the classroom andthrough online learning mediums. Theindividual should have the vision and capability to adapt the curriculum andteaching, learning and assessment to suit the needs of our diverse range oflearners, from different vocational backgrounds and support needs, ensuringprogress is made.

In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with theirEnglish and maths coordinator, as well as Head of English and maths, to ensurethe department continues to move forward in this exiting curriculum area.

We currently have requirements at the following:

Tamworth Campus - 9 hours per week across Tuesday & Friday

Lichfield Campus - 3 hours per week on a Wednesday morning
