Fixed term for 12 months, 14.8 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for an insightful, organised and collaborative person to join the award-winning Planning Team at the University of Huddersfield in partnership with Huddersfield Students' Union. You will contribute to an important programme of work exploring evaluate how engagement with Students' Union activities makes a difference to student outcomes.
As part of this role, you will bring together Students' Union engagement data and University student data to produce robust analyses, evaluations and recommendations. The work will consider outcomes including continuation, completion, attainment, and graduate progression, as well as the reach of Students' Union activity across different groups of students. You will use quantitative and qualitative evidence and impact evaluation approaches such as Theories of Change, while communicating clearly about the strengths and limitations of the evidence.
You will have, and be supported to develop further, strong analytical, evaluation and communication skills. You will be comfortable working with complex data, building productive relationships with colleagues from different professional backgrounds and translating findings into clear reports, briefings and recommendations. Experience of statistical analysis, databases or analytical software such as SQL, Python or R would be valuable, alongside a methodical approach and a commitment to data quality and confidentiality.
