We are looking for a motivated and compassionateEndoscopy Booking Officerto join our busy and expanding service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting high-quality patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will be responsible for booking endoscopy procedures, managing appointments, and providing a professional and patient-focused administrative service.

Working within established procedures and under the guidance of senior staff, you will ensure accurate data entry, effective communication with patients and clinical teams, and support the smooth running of endoscopy pathways.

Main duties of the job

The Endoscopy Booking Officer is responsible for the efficient and accurate booking of endoscopy procedures, supporting the delivery of a safe, timely, and patient-centred service.

You will manage referrals, appointment scheduling, waiting lists, and patient communications in line with Trust policies, national targets, and NHS guidelines.

Requiring close collaboration with clinical teams, administrative colleagues, and patients to ensure effective use of endoscopy capacity, adherence to referral-to-treatment (RTT) standards, and a positive patient experience.

You will have previous administrative or customer service experience, good IT and communication skills, and a strong attention to detail. Experience working in a healthcare or NHS setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
