Role: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Job Type: Permanent

  • Manage non-conformances from initial assessment through containment, investigation, corrective action and closure, ensuring robust records and timely resolution.
  • Support the assessment and reclaim of non-conforming parts, working with manufacturing, quality and design teams to determine technically sound and compliant dispositions.
  • Prepare and coordinate Concessions, Deviation Permit, Change Control and DAR documentation, securing the required technical approvals and maintaining clear traceability of decisions and actions.
  • Maintain accurate Quality standard updates and lead or support improvement activities using structured problem-solving, Lean methods and production data to reduce defects, waste and recurring issues.


The Role

The Continuous Improvement Engineer drives quality and operational excellence by managing non-conformances, supporting part reclaim and concessions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, waste, and recurring issues within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Your Responsibilities
  • Manage non-conformances through investigation, disposition, corrective actions, and closure.
  • Assess non-conforming parts against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate Concessions, Deviation Permits (DP), Change Control, and DAR documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams on issue resolution.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action activities.
  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain quality records, documentation, and traceability.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and quality reviews.
  • Analyze quality and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills / Experience
  • Experience managing manufacturing non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of part reclaim processes and engineering drawing interpretation.
  • Experience with Concessions, Deviation Permits, Change Control, and DAR documentation.
  • Strong Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, and CAPA experience.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems.
  • Experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing and quality data using MES, Teamcenter, and Excel.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, or process improvement environments.
Desirable Skills / Experience
  • Aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent CI qualification.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, process capability, and control charts.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Experience implementing and sustaining manufacturing process changes.
