Description and requirements Our UK-wide building team has built a reputation for high quality offices in Commercial and Mixed-used developments, Healthcare, Custodial, Defence, and Education. Our award-winning projects include 52 Lime Street, 30 St Mary Axe, Bristol Schools, St Bartholomew and the Royal London Hospitals to name a few.
We are now looking for a Construction Supervisor for Buildings team located in Deepcut, Surrey. This is a key role where you will support the Construction Manager to coordinate the safe management of our work, ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met. This is a Fixed Term position until December 2024.
You will:
- Build and develop a competent high performing team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements. Ensure the coordination of works across all disciplines, including suppliers, subcontractors, and Skanska enabling teams.
- Ensure that all documents related to specific tasks are briefed clearly to respective teams and recorded accordingly.
- Develop strong working relationships with subcontractors and supplier partners.
- Champion quality performance on the project to meet the specification requirements 'first time' and minimise rework.
- Ensure accurate, legible and up-to-date allocation sheets are recorded and provided at shift close with delivery tickets and plant returns to the engineering and commercial teams.
We're looking for:
- Suitable experience as a Construction Supervisor on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor.
- Site based supervisor experience
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices. .
- Previous experience on utility works and infrastructure projects
- Experience of collaborative planning process and working in integrated teams
