COMPANY SECRETARIAL DELIVERY MANAGER

BIRMINGHAM, EDINBURGH, GLASGOW, MANCHESTER OR LEEDS

SALARY RANGE: £60,000-75,000 A YEAR

Role Overview

Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS).

Our Company Secretarial team forms part of our Managed Legal Services team with 9 colleagues based across the UK.

We are recruiting a Company Secretarial Delivery Manager responsible for growing the Company Secretarial team, operational excellence, international expansion and some elements of business development activity.

The role will be responsible for growing a portfolio of clients and delivering work in a fee-earning capacity.

Main Duties
  • People management responsibilities for the UK Company Secretarial team including Company Secretarial Assistants, Paralegals and Company Secretarial Consultants
  • Responsible for training, developing and upskilling junior members of the team
  • Undertaking technical work that is required for listed companies or the management of board meetings
  • Supporting the development of the international Company Secretarial service
  • Managing the delivery of Company Secretarial services across the team to our clients, overseeing services and operational processes to ensure that they are delivered to a high quality
  • Maintain and manage relationships with key clients
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across the firm, raising the profile of the function
  • Maintain technical knowledge to ensure operational excellence is maintained for clients
  • Supporting in business development activity including preparing client pitches and RFP responses to develop and grow appropriate workstreams in line with the Group's strategic plans

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
  • Company secretarial delivery experience within a professional services environment
  • Experience of managing a Company Secretarial team
  • Chartered Company Secretary qualification
  • Experience of completing company secretarial work for listed companies
  • Experience of acting as Company Secretary for board meetings, for a variety of company types
  • Knowledge of diligent entities or equivalent software
  • International experience such as managing multi-jurisdictional client deals
