Meet Elana! Elana got her first taste of working in a professional environment and the opportunity to develop her legal skills when she joined our Vacation Programme. Here’s what she had to say about the experience.

“My time on the programme was exciting from start to finish. From the get-go, it was clear that Pinsent Masons truly cares about its people.
Everyone, from graduate recruitment to the trainees and partners, were so excited to have us join and really took the time to get to know and welcome us. I was made to feel like one of the team, being involved in meetings, team lunches, and the occasional light-hearted coffee chat.
I was placed in the Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) team who were incredibly welcoming. I was quickly exposed to a variation of hands-on transactional, advisory and disputes work, undertaking many trainee-type tasks, including legislative research, drafting, and proofreading. I even attended a Data Protection Conference where I learned more about the GDPR landscape, potential AI regulation and emerging legal tech.
Aside from work, the firm also knows how to have a good time. A trip to Junkyard Golf and the famous London office summer party were two great social events.
Overall, my time was insightful, exciting, and great fun. I have come away from the experience with stronger knowledge of working in a legal firm and great connections, who I look forward to keeping in touch with.”
