Are you ready to lead safety initiatives in our community? As the
Colliery Tip & Reservoir Safety Manager (Deputy Undertaker), you will oversee the safety and management of colliery tips and reservoirs. This vital role ensures that our assets are maintained safely and comply with all legal requirements. You will act as the Deputy Reservoir Undertaker, supporting the Undertaker in fulfilling responsibilities under the Reservoirs Act 1975. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference!
In this role, you will:- Lead the operational management of colliery tips and reservoirs.
- Ensure effective safety, inspection, and emergency planning.
- Collaborate with specialist engineers and stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on asset safety and compliance.
- Oversee inspection programmes and risk management strategies.
- Support the wider Property Safety and Facilities Management service.
- Deputise for the Team Manager as needed, contributing to strategic objectives.
To succeed in this role, you should have:- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Experience in safety management, inspections, or risk assessment.
- Knowledge of the Reservoirs Act 1975 and related legislation.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for reporting and data management.
